The Association of Theravāda Buddhist Universities (ATBU) is an inclusive global network. It unites the people, knowledge and skills of every Higher Education Institution with a specific mission to educate students to understand and practise the Buddha’s Dhamma as presented in the Pāḷi Canon.
Application for the associate members of Association of Theravada Buddhist Universities

Since March 13, B.E. 2552 (2009), the Association of Theravada Buddhist Universities (ATBU) has been legally registered bye the Thai laws. Rector of Mahamakut Buddhist University has been responsible for undertaking the registration operated bye the Thai laws.

ATBU Conference Journal & Book are ready

For the ATBU second bi-annual conference, the ATBU secretariat has published most of articles and papers which are going to present during the conference into 2 books: the ATBU Journal & the ATBU Conference Volume. Also ATBU constitution is ready for distribution at the conference.
The ATBU has officially Registered in Thailand

After a long bureaucratic process with the government of Thailand, the ATBU is finally registered by the Office of the National Culture Commission of the government of Thailand. The Registration Certificate of the ATBU is No 2/2552 dated 5 February B.E. 2552.
