Great Stuff

I hadn't realized there was so much activity in this area. Just saw your post on Drupal by chance... I'll be interested to hear more about the IBC in the future, as I'm living in Thailand right now.

Ven. Yuttadhammo, thanks

Ven. Yuttadhammo, thanks for the comment. Here is a short answer regarding IBC.

  • IBC is a private educational institute under the Ministry of Education of Thailand.
  • It started from an affiliated institute with the Pali University of Sri Lanka, in 1996 in Penang, Malaysia.
  • Its courses and curriculum are designed by Prof. Kuranadassa (The Institute of Pali and Buddhist Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka). For more info,

I think the best way to get to know IBC is to visit IBC and meet students and teachers there.
